1. Payouts can be requested twice a month for hours taught during the 1st-15th and 16th-31st periods. The payout amount displayed on the Tutmate dashboard is the gross amount before any fees are deducted. To request a payout, log in to the Tutmate dashboard using your instructor email and navigate to the “Commissions section.
2. Your preferred payment method must be set in your profile. You can choose to receive payouts to your PayPal account or via Wise transfer. Please see the list of all countries supported by PayPal and Wise before setting your preferred payment method. On an individual basis, we may send payouts via Western Union if your country is not supported by PayPal or Wise.
3. As an instructor, you are eligible for 50% commission on total sales of your group classes and 1-on-1 classes. All payouts are sent in US dollars. The actual amount received may vary due to currency conversions and transfer fees, which will be deducted from the payout amount. We recommend choosing Wise as your preferred method due to lowest fees and fast transfers.
4. Payment requests will be reviewed and approved within 5 business days, and payouts will be made within 7 business days after approval. Please note you cannot request payouts on classes that have not started yet.
5. Minimum payout threshold: Instructors must earn a minimum of $40 before they are eligible for a payout.
6. It is the responsibility of the instructor to ensure that their contact and payment information is up to date and accurate.
7. The company reserves the right to make changes to the payment term policy at any time.
8. The company is not responsible for any delays or errors in payouts due to incorrect or incomplete information provided by the instructor.
9. In case of any disputes or issues related to payouts, please contact support@tutmate.com, the company’s decision will be final.

Commission Examples
Example 1 (completed group class):
You have completed Group Elite class (8 hours) Math group tutoring. Group elite class is currently priced at $127 per student. Let’s say 15 students enrolled to your class out of maximum 20.
Therefore, your payout will be calculated as: $127 * 15 students = $1905.00, Your payout will be 50% out of $1905.00 = $952.50 – transaction fees (4.5% average) = $909.64
Example 2 (group class mid-month payout):
You had taught 5 hours (out of 16 hours total) during 1st- 15th period in your Group Pro class Physics group tutoring. Group Pro class is currently priced at $203 per student. You had 8 students enrolled in your class out of maximum 10.
First we have to calculate your hourly commission rate: $203 / 16 hours / 2 = $6.34 per hour
Your payout will be calculated as: ($6.34 * 8 students * 5 hours taught ) – transaction fees (4.5% average) = $242.19
Example 3 (1-1 class):
You run 1-on-1 pay as you go English class . Minimum hourly rate for pay as you go 1-on-1 class is currently set as $45. You set your price at $60 per hour. You had 4 students that signed up to your 1-1 tutoring class throughout the month.
Your payout will be calculated as: $60 * 4 students = $240.00. Your payout will be 50% out of $240.00 – transaction fees (4.5% average) = $114.60
