This is a short, yet intensive, course that is meant to help you master writing well-structured academic essays. After the course, you should be able to write an academic essay for school assignments and projects, theses, a personal statement, or a cover letter for a new job. We're going to work on multiple aspects: planning and structuring essays, page format, language and quotations, and understanding assessment criteria and proofreading. This corse will run on Fridays at 4 PM UTC.

In this meeting, students will learn: A) The basic steps of writing an academic essay: understanding and analysing the essay question and question analysis top tips. B) How to plan an essay: Why is it important to plan?, the strucrure of an essay, mind mapping, and planning top tips.
Class 2: 14/ 4/2023
In this meeting, students will learn: A) Page format: handwritten work and work done on a computer. B) What's a paragraph and using paragraphs in wriing essays C) Writing an introduction and main body paragraphs.
Class 3: 21/4/2023
In this meeting, students will learn: A) Main body paragraphs(continued) B) PEEL paragraphs C) how to write a concluding paragraph
Class 4: 28/ 4/2023
In this meeting, students will learn: A) The language, tone, and style they need for an essay: formal language and first person writing B) Useful connective words and phrases C) Using quotations D) Harvard referencing E) Understanding assessment criteria and proofreading

I'm an experienced English Tutor with about four years of experience in teaching English to various age groups: kids, teens, and adults.
I hold a Bachelor's Degree of Arts Focused in English Language and Literature. I have a Certificate in Teaching English as a Second Language. If you're a student who needs to improve their reading, writing, speaking, or listening skills, I'm here to help. If you don't get on so well with English literature, I can help with that as well.
